I am a PhD scholar under the Prime Minister’s Research Fellows (PMRF) scheme currently in the Department of Biotechnology at IIT Madras. After finishing my B.Tech at SASTRA, Deemed to be University, I joined IIT Madras as a Direct PhD candidate, where I am currently working with Dr Himanshu Sinha. My thesis work involves studying and mapping the genotype-phenotype relationships. My main research focus is to explore the drug resistance of yeast to various antifungal and non-antifungal repurposed drugs, how different drug combinations interact and affect the yeast, and how the yeast develops resistance to those drugs.
