GARBH-Ini is one of the five “Atal Jai Anusandhan Biotech Missions – UNaTI” launched by the Government of India. It’s a project in collaboration with our clinical partner, the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI). GARBH-Ini project study multidimensional correlates of preterm birth in India analysing a hospital-based observational pregnancy cohort. We are building regression and machine learning models using anthropometric, clinical and obstetric characteristics of the mothers to estimate gestational age and predict preterm birth. These models, when validated and deployed will be instrumental reducing maternal and child mortality in India.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. in Data Science/related fields
  • Candidates must have demonstrated academic excellence
  • Expertise in biostatistics and machine learning
  • Strong communication, data presentation, and visualization skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Desirable, at least two years of experience working with clinical data analysis

Shortlisting criteria

  • Academic pedigree, performance
  • Ph.D. research area and list of publications, if any
  • Proficiency in programming (high-level languages, preferably Python/R)
  • Experience in clinical data analysis and Contribution to open-source projects will be a plus
